Do you want to be a record breaker?

To help celebrate Children’s Hospice Week, we will be attempting to break the world record for the greatest number of people simultaneously performing the ‘Superman Dance’.

Taking part at the Southend Air Festival on Saturday 26th May, this is a fantastic chance to get together with a group of friends, family or colleagues and become a record breaker whilst raising vital funds for Havens Hospices.

Help us set a world record in Essex!

In order for us to break the record, we need 500 people to perform the dance in the traditional manner, in traditional clothing associated with the dance – 80’s attire! Become your own ‘Havens Hero’ by dressing as an 80’s style superhero.

80’s attire must consist of a minimum of any combination of 2 items of 80’s clothing, including (but not limited to):

  •  Leggings
  •  Leg warmers
  •  Cropped t-shirts
  •  Bright coloured shorts worn over trousers
  •  Shell suits
  •  Dungarees
  •  Large shoulder padded jackets
  •  Neon clothing

(For example, leggings and a large shoulder padded jacket would make 2 items).

Superhero masks will be provided on the day.

Help us reach our £10,000 fundraising target!

Ask your friends, family and colleagues to support the event by sponsoring you to take part. There are many ways you can help reach our fundraising target. People can sponsor you at

or pledge by texting HWRA60 followed by the amount they wish to donate in pounds e.g HWRA60 £3 to 70070.

Entry fee is £5 per person. You can register online here!

Do something amazing in aid of Havens Hospices.

Thank you for your support
